The Islands of Big Brother and Little Brother are small exposed promontories located approximately 60 km from the Egyptian coastline, making them one of Egypt's premier diving destinations despite strong currents and large waves.

Daedalus Reef is highly favoured among divers for its challenging currents and dramatic underwater landscapes. Encircled by sheer walls, it features a plateau on its southern side ranging from 28 meters beside the reef to 40 meters at the edge of the drop-off. Reef and hammerhead sharks are frequently sighted in this area.

Elphinstone Reef stretches 600 meters long and ranges from 5 meters to over 100 meters in depth. It boasts a spectacular array of marine life, including a multitude of fish species and stunning drop-offs. It is a prime location for encountering sharks such as hammerheads, oceanic whitetips, grey sharks, silky sharks, and occasionally whale sharks and manta rays.
